Orbital Foundry does not collect personal data. It has no account system, no login, no newsletter, no contact form and no server-side database. Nothing you type or click is transmitted to us, because there is nowhere for it to be transmitted to: the game is a set of static files, and it runs completely inside your own browser.
Exactly what is stored on your device
The game uses your browser's localStorage, which is storage that belongs to your
device and is never sent anywhere by the game. These are the only keys it writes:
-
orbitalFoundry:save:sprout,…:casual,…:standard,…:brutaland…:inferno— one save slot per difficulty level. Each holds your resource amounts, lifetime totals, how many machines of each kind you own, which upgrades and milestones you have, your blueprint count, how long you have played, the timestamp of the last save (used to work out offline progress) and the date of your last daily supply manifest. -
orbitalFoundry:settings— the difficulty you last chose, whether the particle flow is switched on, and whether you have started a run before. -
orbitalFoundry:best— your best score, highest blueprint count and highest tier reached, recorded separately for each of the five difficulty levels.
That is the complete list. There is no identifier, no name, no email address, no IP address and no advertising or tracking cookie. You can inspect or delete all of it from your browser's developer tools, or by clearing site data for this domain. Deleting it erases your factories; export a save code from the pause menu first if you want to keep one.
Service worker cache
After the first load, a service worker stores copies of the page, the stylesheet, the script and the icon in your browser's cache so the game works without a network connection. That cache contains only the game's own files. It is cleared along with your other site data.
Performance monitoring
This deployment may load Tencent Cloud RUM, a performance monitoring script, to record aggregate technical data such as page load timing, JavaScript errors and which broad traffic channel a visit arrived from (search engine, social network, AI assistant referral, or direct). That signal is derived from the page URL and the browser's referrer header. It is used to understand how the page performs and where visitors come from. It is not linked to any account, is never combined with your game save, and no game data is included in it. If monitoring is not configured for the deployment you are looking at, the script is not loaded at all and no request is made.
Children
The Sprout difficulty level is designed for young children. Nothing about that mode changes what is stored: it is still nothing but game state, on the child's own device, and no personal information is requested at any point.
